Lawrence “Rusty” Dalrymple

Lawrence “Rusty” Dalrymple, age 93, of McClelland Road, Fredericktown, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2006 at his home. He was born on March 14, 1913 in Knox County to the late Albert and Effie (Balo) Dalrymple. Rusty worked for Schlairet Transfer before retiring as a school bus driver for Fredericktown Schools. He was an active member of the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church, Fredericktown Lion’s Club and was a past member of Wayne Grange. Rusty served as a board member on the Fredericktown School Board, Morrow County Rural Electric Association and was a past clerk of Wayne Township. He was active with the Red Cross as a blood donor and the Cancer Society. Rusty was a part of the “Over the Hill Gang” that helped build the Fredericktown Library. Rusty will be remembered by many for his fresh Maple Syrup.
He is survived by his loving family, two sons, David Dalrymple of Fredericktown, Dick (Cindy) Dalrymple of Fredericktown, two grandchildren, Vincent Dalrymple and Darcy Dalrymple and a sister, Mary Dalrymple of Fredericktown.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary F. Dalrymple, four brothers, Lloyd Dalrymple, Joe Dalrymple, Pete Dalrymple and Bob Dalrymple and a sister, Beatrice Dalrymple.
A memorial service will be Saturday January 6, 2007 at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Fredericktown with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Cemetery near Fredericktown. These arrangements are under the care and direction of the Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown.
