Laurie L. Miller, age 55 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Marion.

Laurie was born on September 14, 1960 in Galion, the daughter of Vaughn M. and Eileen M. (Henkel) Miller.

Laurie was filled with love for others and had a passion for life. One of her favorite things to do was talk on the telephone to friends and family and share in their lives. She enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend Gerry Miller, she had a great love for her animals and Laurie’s guilty pleasure was Pepsi and potato chips. When she was able, Laurie attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marion. In order for her to visit her mother, the Y-men built a ramp at her mother’s home and she was so happy to spend time there with her. She endeavored to work hard at MARCA Industries for many years making a difference in the lives of those she met. She adored the staff from Basinger that took such wonderful and loving care of her at her home.

She is survived by her devoted mother Eileen M. Miller; her step-father David S. Williams; brothers: Jerry (Paula) Miller and Tom (Dianne) Miller; her uncle and aunt Russ and Janet Henkel and many nieces and nephews.

Laurie is preceded in death by her father Vaughn Miller.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 10AM to 11AM; Funeral services will immediately follow at 11AM with Rev. Craig Lewis officiating; Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery.

If so desired, donations may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice.
