Laura J. Franks-Parker, 70 of Delaware, passed away Saturday at Riverside Hospital. She was born September 26, 1936, in Cadiz, Ohio to J. Birney and Mary (Freshwater) Adams. A Delaware resident since 1948, she was a member of the Olive Green Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was also at one time a Home Health Care Provider for American Nursing. She is survived by her husband Rev. William J. Parker, a son Rick (Mary) Franks of Sunbury, daughters Linda Franks, Karen (Lonnie) Starcher, and Vicki Coulter, all of Delaware, 9 grandchildren, numberous great grandchildren, 3 step-sons, Wiliam J. Parker Jr. of Georgia, Kenneth A. Parker of Georgia, Timothy N. Parker of Marysville, a sister Mary Virginia Lavery of Pensacola, Fl., a brother Charles Adams of Delaware. She was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Adams and a step-daughter Elizabeth L. Cruikshank. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Richard Penhorwood officiating. The family will then host a reception in the Rodman Neeper Community Room.
