Larry Williamson, age 73, of Marengo died Thursday evening, September 1, 2016 at his home.
He was born on July 26, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio the son of the late Lawrence and Lessie B. (Piper) Williamson.
On April 22, 1965 he married Carolyn J. Powell. They celebrated 51 years together as husband and wife earlier this year.
Larry was self-employed contractor, operating heavy equipment for a living.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors going fishing, camping, and boating at Pleasant Hill Lake in Perrysburg.
He was a child of God and a great witness for Jesus.
Larry’s family was the most important part of his life. He loved his grandchildren and could always gain their attention with a great story. He had a way with words.
In addition to his wife he will be missed by their three children Larry Williamson Jr. of Fredericktown, Loraine Williamson of Fredericktown, and Brenda Williamson of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Kyle Smith, Courtney Cattleman and her husband Mitch, Phillip Hartley, Jesse Williamson, and Lindsay Starcher; and his brother James Williamson and his wife Terri of Sebring, Florida.
Friends may call on the family on Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 2-5 PM at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Funeral services will be held there on TUESDAY at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lucian Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.
