BUTLER: Larry Moran, 51, of Ramsey Road, Butler, died Saturday afternoon March 19, 2005 in his home following a long illness.
He was born September 13, 1953 in Mansfield to Joseph and Mary (Teets) Moran, and educated at Clear Fork Schools.
A US Navy veteran, Larry served as a machinist’s mate aboard the USS William F. Pratt and the USS Nashville.
He had worked 28 years with Hi-Lo Trailers in Butler, and later with Craig Smith RV.
When time permitted, Larry could be found working on his old cars ~ his Duster, Dart or even motorcycles. But he was most pleased and proud of his 1969 GTX.
He is survived by his son Shane Moran and his companion Tiffany Mattox of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Mike Nesselrote of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Buck Weyhmeller of Butler; a special aunt Sylvia Moran and her family; two sisters-in-law Mildred Moran of Lexington and Vickie Moran of Johnsville; numerous nieces and nephews and cherished friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers James E. Moran and Robert T. Moran.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 22, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am. The Rev. Keith McLaughlin will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery, where the Richland County Joint Veterans Council will hold graveside military honors.
Memorial contributions to Worthington Township-Butler Rescue Squad may be made at the funeral home.
