Larry J. Miller, age 75 of Sunbury, passed away Saturday evening February 13, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 5, 1940 in Marion to the late Joseph Lawrence and Magdelene B. (Clark) Miller. He was a retired pipefitter and plumber with Local 189 and a retired US Navy Veteran.

Larry was very proud of his family and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on cars and was a hard worker. Larry was a NASCAR and Ohio State Buckeye Fan and loved mowing the grass.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Wanda (Wriston) Miller and they were married March 3, 1960; son: Larry C. (Diondra) Miller of Powell; daughters: Elaine G. (Michael) Zack of Sunbury, Velva L. (Lou) Rainer of Blacklick; grandchildren: Lindsey (Michael) Piscioneri, Leslie N. (Matthew) Lanum, Cody (Kacey) Jordan, Kyle Miller, Heather Miller; great grandchildren: Kashton Burdette, Caiden Cassinelli; sisters: Jerilyn (Jim) Walston of Marion, Shelly Miller of Marion.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Thursday 12 p.m. with Joyce Pinson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Blue Church Cemetery.
