  • Long ago we were neighbors and school chums. I lost track of her until Bernie Griffy told me where she lived. Always had a smile and big heart warming welcome. Live on my friend, live on. I’m sorry her family has to have this part.

  • So sad to hear that she passed away such a sweet, kind and loving lady. She always made me smile on her visit to Texas. Take comfort in knowing how much she loved you Laura, Don , Damon and Sherry. I believe my Melissa meet her in heaven when God brought her home and told her Hey I remember you from my daycare when I was a younger. Your going to dance and have a blast here. Wish I could be there and hug you all tight.
Praying God will give you all peace and comfort during this storm in life.
    Love you all

She always loved watching us March in high school and was one the best moms out there!
I will forever love her for that.

  • From the time I was a young girl to my early sixties Varlene was part of our family. For good times such as our first trip to Vegas and hard times such as the deaths of her parents as well as mine. Laurie has been like our sister and will always be. Which is just as our mothers planned it. It makes me smile knowing they are now together again looking down on us all .

    • I am so happy to have y’all in my life and have no words for what y’all did for mom…just what family does!
Our moms are going to be the best guardian angels 😇
      Love y’all!
