L. Ann Vandall, age 67 of Marengo died Sunday afternoon, February 4, 2007 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 29, 1939 in Chillicothe to the late Harry and Violet Allen Perkins. Ann moved to Marengo in 1974 from Columbus. A homemaker, she had also worked as a seamstress for the former Columbus Uniform Company.

She enjoyed the simple home life and tending to her flower gardens. Ann loved all animals and enjoyed feeding and watching them from home. She also enjoyed growing gourds and pumpkins, described as a bundle of joy, a loving mother and wife.

Survived by her husband of 48 years: James “Button” Vandall, Daughters: Sally (Rob) Nye of Centerburg, Rebecca Vandall of Marengo, Grandchildren: Allen Vandall, Alicia Nye, Tracy and Amanda Seavolt, Great-grandson: Vincent Seavolt, Brother Jerold Porter of Columbus, Sister-in-laws: Patricia Porter of Marengo, Pat (Robert) Evans of Flatwoods, KY, Brother-in-law: Charles (Barbara) Vandall of Columbus.

Preceded in death by Brother: Ronald Porter in 2006.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 229, Marengo with Pastor Jonathan Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Butter Cemetery near Marengo.
