Kilby Kermit DAVIS, age 88 of Madisonville, TN, formerly of Dickenson County, Virginia and Westerville, Ohio went to be with Jesus, Friday, May 13, 2005 at his home.

He was born on June 30, 1916 in Clintwood, VA to the late Lonza and Sally V. (Rakes) Davis. A Deacon at the Free Will Baptist and Sunday School Teacher, he retired from Belmont Casket Company.

Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Melvina (Kaylor) Davis, Daughters: Judy (Richard) Nichols of Madisonville, TN, and Barbara (Steve) Clark of LaFayette, GA, Sons: Charles (Yolanda) Davis of Mount Vernon, and Sharon (Suzy) Davis of Newark, 10 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters: Kathleen (Glenn) Cruise of Pearisburg, VA, and Nadine Farmer of Columbus, Brothers: Edmond (Lillian) Beverly of Abingdon, VA, Franklin (Janice) Beverly, and Arnold (Jane) Beverly both of Galena, and by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Preceded in death by son: Ronnie G. Davis.

Friends may call Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at SR 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
