Kiki A. Angelas, age 86, of N. Concord Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2008 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was born on July 9, 1921 in Kardamyla, Chios, Greece to Perikles and Ereni (Frangos) Sikoutris. Mrs. Angelas was an honor student in High School and was the first female student allowed to carry her country flag of Greece during the Greek Independence Day Parade. She was a lifelong member of the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church where she belonged to the ladies Philoptochos Society, Choir and taught Greek School. Mrs. Angelas was a resident of Mansfield for over 25 years before moving to Mount Vernon in 1972.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina (John) Tsavaris of Mount Vernon, a son, George A. Angelas of Mount Vernon, two grandsons, Michael Tsavaris of Austin, Texas and Anthony Angelas of Fredericktown.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Anthony K. Angelas, two brothers, Nicholas Sikoutris and Michael Sikoutris and a nephew, Pericles Sikoutris.

Friends may call on Monday June 23, 2008 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 from 5 to 8 PM with a Trisagion service starting at 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 265 West 3rd Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44904. Father Nicholas Hughes will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Angelas Family Plot in Mansfield Cemetery.
