Mansfield: Kevin F. Lawrence, 50, of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer.

​Kevin was born in Columbus, on January 24, 1970 and grew up in Delaware, OH graduating from Delaware Hayes High School in 1988. Kevin later graduated from Texas A&M University earning a Bachelors of Science in Engineering.  Most recently Kevin lived in Mansfield and was a production supervisor at Stoneridge Hi-Stat.

​Kevin loved the beach, and boating.  The self-proclaimed, “The grill master”, Kevin enjoyed cooking and playing games and sports with his family.  He loved to joke and never met a stranger.

​He is survived by his children Mackenzie and Jakob Lawrence of Mansfield, his proudest accomplishments; parents Vivian and William Wright of Delaware and Charles Lawrence of Columbus; brother Leslie Wright and sister Lisa (Michael) Stein; nephew Aaron and nieces Abby and Bella; uncle David (Joyce) Lawrence and aunt Tami Wright; Michele Lawrence, cousins Geoff Lawrence, Chris Lawrence, Jennifer Stalker, Emily Powers, Ashley Lawrence, Brandon Wright, Tania Lines, and Lee Wright; and his 3 dogs.

​He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ralph and Jane Lawrence, maternal grandmother Effie Smith, uncles Chet Smith and Earl Wright, and cousin Paige Stalker along with his best buddy Bandit.

​The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is assisting Kevin’s family with cremation services.

  • We are so very sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. He was a very good friend of our son Eric in school. He spent a lot of time at our house. I just remember his smile especially the day he rode up to our house on his motorcycle.
    We thought a great deal of him.
