Kevin Dean Whipple, 56, of Ashley passed away late Friday evening, August 7, 2020 at his residence.

He was born September 20, 1963 in Delaware to the late Jerry D. Whipple and Sandra Earlene (Jenkins) Whipple and graduated from Delaware Hayes High School.

Growing up, Kevin worked at Whipple’s Market and Drive Thru in Ashley. He then worked as night supervisor at Advance Auto Parts, retiring after 20 years. He also went on to manage the Goodwill Store in Delaware for many years.

Kevin loved gardening, cooking and fishing but his true joy was spending time with his grandkids. Having a passion for baseball, he also enjoyed playing and coaching. He was also an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and fantasy football.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 28 years, Misty (Stover); sons, Kacey Curren of Ashley and Shad Curren of Marion; daughters, Jodi Curren of Ashley; grandchildren, Cameron, Abby, Collin “Walter”, Brennen, and Hadley Curren; sister, DeeDra “Dee” (Don) Rister of Radnor; nephews, Matthew (Jessica) Rister and Lucas Rister; great nephew, Quinton Rister.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Allen Whipple and grandson Konner Curren.

Services celebrating Kevin’s life will be announced and held at a later date at Pittman Farms, 5201 Shoemaker Road, Ashley, Ohio 43003.

The Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center is honored to serve the Whipple family.
