Kerry E. Gale, age 59, of Mount Gilead, passed away Monday evening, December 10, 2018, at his home.

He was born on December 18, 1958, in Mount Gilead, to the late Wayne Gale and Marilynn (Steed) Gale whom survives. Kerry graduated from Buckeye Valley High School and also attended Tri-County where he obtained some trade certificates. While in high school, Kerry enjoyed playing sports with football and track being his favorite.

For many years Kerry worked as a foreman for a textile manufacturer of carpets. He had the challenge of managing all women in his department. A jack of all trades and master of none, Kerry also worked as a carpenter and helped many of his family and friends with projects around their homes.

A homebody, Kerry enjoyed the simpler parts of life. Kerry shared a passion with his father for fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an excellent cook and often invited family and friends over to eat. Kerry could party like a rock star and will be remembered for his loving and caring personality.

Left to cherish his memory includes his mother, Marilynn; sisters: Kim (Terry) Hummel of Terrill, TX and Karen (Joe) Burge of Chillicothe, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; two great- great nieces; and a special adopted niece, Stephanie (David) Swick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne and a nephew, Brent Baker.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a family member’s home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home/family to assist with final expenses.
