Kent Brian Friedlander, age 60, of Mount Vernon, died Friday December 25, 2009 at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. Kent was born April 10, 1949 in Cleveland to Allan and Lillian Friedlander. He played college football for The Ohio State University and Capital University and graduated from Capital University in 1973. Kent was a valued employee of White’s Fine Furniture for over thirty years.

He is survived by his five children and their families, in order of age; daughter Kendra and husband Mike Sparks, their children Robert and Dustin; son Tally and wife Monette Friedlander; daughter Casey Friedlander; son Daxton Friedlander and fiancée Julie with her two children; son Kent Friedlander II; son Trenton Friedlander; his mother Lillian Friedlander, sister Gail Burdick and sister Heidi Friedlander

A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 12 noon to 3 pm at Dino’s Pub ‘n’ Pizza in Columbus at 2477 East Dublin Granville Road. Whether you knew him as Kent, Kenny, Pawpaw or coach, he has impacted us all tremendously and will be remembered forever as a jolly man who loved great food and company.
