Kenneth M. “Ken” Hunter

Kenneth M. “Ken” Hunter, age 51, of Galion, passed away Sunday evening, November 15, 2015, at the Galion Community Hospital.
On February 18, 1964, Ken was born to David M. Hunter and the late Edith L. (Chalk) Hunter, in Glendale, WV. Ken graduated from Glen Dale High School where he enjoyed playing football and was an honor student.
Shortly after high school Ken met the apple of his eye. On August 23, 1986, Ken married Kimberly A. Kimberlin. Together they have shared 29 wonderful years of marriage.
Ken was a hard working individual who would do anything to provide for his family. Most recently Ken worked for Mansfield Plumbing.
A family man, Ken was full of life and cherished his time spent with his wife, kids, and especially grandkids. Ken also loved spending time fishing and hunting with his dad. In his spare time Ken enjoyed rooting for his favorite teams, such as the Greenbay Packers and Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed playing pool, poker, chess, watching action movies, and listening to 80’s Rock’n Roll music.
Ken will be dearly missed by his wife, Kimberly; children: Starleena (Justin) Sykes of Galion, and Shenna (Matt Cline) Hunter of Galion; grandchildren: Ethan, Kendence, Nicholas, Shawn, Elyse, Mathew Jr., Adrian, Maddy, Quentin, and Cory; brother, David Hunter of Blair, OH; sisters: Cyndi (Michael) Severance of Franklin, WV, and Candy Krewson of Moundsville, WV; mother-in-law, Linda Miller of Galion; brother-in-law, Lee Kimberlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Charles Hunter.
There will be a celebration of Ken’s life on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at 2 PM, at the Victory Rock Praise and Worship Center, with Pastor Danny Aker officiating. 1700 Fairview Road, Galion, OH 44833.
