Kenneth L. Casner

Kenneth L. Casner, age 80, of Sebring, Florida and formerly of Centerburg, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 19, 2005 at his residence.

He was born in Trinway, Ohio on December 25, 1924 to the late Harvey and Edna (Trego) Casner. Graduate of Jefferson High School Class of 1943, and received an associate’s degree in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering. Kenny was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving on D day during the invasion of Normandy, France. He worked as a maintenance engineer for 32 years for Batelle Institute by night and farmed by day. Member of the Linden Lodge F. & A.M. # 637. Kenny’s passion was farming, and he also enjoyed Florida, antique tractors, watching westerns & football.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Miriam (McClintock) Casner, whom he married on April 17, 1950, Sons: Bob (Denise) Casner & Jim (Bonnie) Casner both of Centerburg, and Dave (Ginger) of Mount Vernon, Grandchildren: Josh (Nikki), Jenny, Brock, & Sean, and Sister: Hilda (Art) Hillard of Lakeland, Florida.

Friends may call Friday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m., with Masonic services at 7:45 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at SR 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ernie Moreland officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Liberty Chapel Cemetery.
