Kenneth L. Alguire, 79, of 1170 Westmoor Drive, Galion, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at home after an extended illness.

Born May 9, 1927 in Delphos, he was the son of the late Irwin Alguire and Edna Rohr Alguire. He married Genevieve Baker Alguire on July 16, 1947 and she survives.

He was a graduate of Delphos-Jefferson High School in Delphos in 1945. He is a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Galion where he was active and previously served on the church council. He was an avid Ohio State University Football fan, a volunteer for the Boy Scouts for several years, enjoyed working in his yard and woodworking. He was a great family man and was very optimistic, even through his illness. He retired from Komatsu Dresser in 1989 where he worked as a design engineer.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Andrew Repassy of Grand Prairie, Texas, Deborah and James Croft of Galion and Gwyn and Wyatt Mills of Boston, two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Kathy Alguire of Galion and Hal and Cora Alguire of Colorado Springs, Colorado; ten grandchildren, David and Brian Repassy, Carrie Keib, Holly Reece, Jennifer Chadima, Erica Geiger, Caleb Mills, Aleta Mills, Ashley Alguire and Adam Alguire; eight great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and James Koepfer of Florida.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at Peace Lutheran Church where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, with Pastor Ron Keller officiating.
