Kenneth “Kent” Bacin

PALM SPRINGS, CA: Kent Bacin, 81, passed away October 13, 2013 at home after a long battle with cancer.

He was born July 23, 1932 in Cleveland to parents William & Agnes Bacin. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a yeoman and flag writer to Admiral Lynde McCormik in Norfolk, VA and at NATO Headquarters in Paris during its infancy. After his service Kent furthered his studies at UCLA and earned a BA in English Lit.

Kent worked in the finance department for Ice Capades from 1963-1974; he traveled extensively and met many lifelong friends and was Comptroller for the singing duo “Seals and Crofts.” His recent endeavor was an accounting job in Palm Springs.

He is survived by his brother Donald (Sylvia) Bacin of Mansfield, OH who just recently visited; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and best friends John Malone and Cindy Greever.

In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by brothers Bill and Ed, nephew Jeff, and niece Bonnie.

At his request, no services will be held. His body was donated to “Research for Life” and his remains will be scattered at sea.
