Kenneth J. Carpenter

Kenneth J. Carpenter, age 75, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on December 16, 1942 in Barnesville, Ohio the son of Kenneth E. and Nellie (McCracken) Carpenter.  Kenny served in the United States Army 101st Airborne from 1960 to 1963.  Kenny was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Commonly referred to as “PA” he will be missed by many.

Kenny is survived by his wife Beverly (Chapman) Carpenter whom he married on June 27, 1964; two daughters; Kimberly (Bob Campbell) Alexander of Fredericktown and Lori (James) Stambaugh of Fredericktown; five grandchildren, AJ Alexander, Lance (Sara) Stambaugh, Kenlee (Tyler) Mulbay, Dalton Stambaugh and Calistia (KC) Preece; two great grandchildren, Karsyn Stambaugh and Cirus Preece; his father; best friend and brother, John (Patty) Carpenter of West Virginia and a sister, Bonnie Carpenter of Fredericktown.

Kenny was preceded in death by his mother.

A Celebration of Life service with military honors provided by VFW Post 8054 and Amvets Post #87 will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main Street, Mount Gilead, Ohio 43338.

I feel blessed to have known such an ornery, down to earth guy with such a kind and caring heart! I know how loved he was by each of you.
