  • We moved back to Ohio in 1987. Ken was one of the first local hams I met.
When I put up my tower in Blendon Township, you-know-who was up there helping me.

  • Ken, was Ken, we wouldn’t take him any other way. He left a great impression on all of us and I trust he knew that. Our hope we all can learn from his giving so we may give to others as he did.

    Ken, we’ll meet again.

    Craig Miller, W8CR

  • He helped my Father, Walter Hurd (KC8CNT) with his HAM equipment years ago and was an ongoing part of the local emergency radio team. One of the guys who just “did what was needed” and never needed the recognition for any of it. Thank you Ken, for all you did, and God bless you. I’m sorry I did not get a chance to thank you in person.

  • R.I.P. Daddyo Bird… He was a wise man and loved helping others when he could. He loved his motorcycle and simply being free in the wind. Now he can ride with Carol his daughter and enjoy the beautiful scenery from above. Prayers to Diana & Family🙏

  • I met Ken in the early 80’s. He was always ready to help people, Ken was one of a kind and will be missed. 73 my friend.

  • When we got the chance to install a station at the 911 Center, Ken was there. Whenever we needed a portable link setup for emergency communications, Ken was there. Thanks, Ken. You will be missed. 73
