Keith E. Bachelder

WILLIAMSPORT: Keith E. Bachelder, 57, of County Road 20, died Monday afternoon January 21, 2008 in the emergency room of MedCentral Mansfield Hospital from injuries he received in an automobile accident.
Now absent from the body, Keith is rejoicing with the Lord, in his eternal home (II Cor. 5).
Keith was born to Ralph and Marjorie (Burkhart) Bachelder in Morrow County on July 23, 1950 and was graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1968.
On July 2, 1977 Keith was united in marriage with his wife Karen.
For 30 years Keith worked with Galion Dresser where he helped build rollers, graders, and cranes for construction machinery. For the past eight years Keith worked as a corrections officer at the Marion County Correctional Institution.
Having a passion for Martial Arts, Keith was a 5th degree black belt in Karate, and was also experienced in Ti Kwon Doe.
In his spare time Keith enjoyed hunting, especially the challenge of tracking deer.
Keith was a member of Lexington Grace Brethren Church.
He will be remembered for his love and devotion to Christ Jesus our Lord. Keith’s uncanny sense of humor and playful character could bring a smile to anyone. He left a legacy of love for his family and faith in Jesus.
Along with his wife Karen, Keith is survived by his mother Marjorie of Mt. Gilead, siblings and their spouses Dick and Sandy Bachelder of Mt. Gilead, Susie Counts of Mt. Gilead, Sharon and Jack Williams of Idaho, and Brent and Sherri Bachelder of Fremont, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Keith was preceded in death by his four children and his father Ralph.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Friday at 11AM. Pastor Jim Rupp will officiate. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
