Kathy Martin, age 55, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her residence.  She was born on September 30, 1960 in Mount Vernon, OH, to Francis and Gladys “Peggy” (Lohr) Endsley.

Kathy graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1978.  She is a member of the First Christian Church in Mount Vernon.  Kathy worked in the food industry and was employed at The Mount Vernon Nazarene University.  She loved riding motorcycles with her husband Jack, and enjoyed hanging out with her dear friends.  Most of all she loved being around her family. 

She is survived by her husband, Jack Martin; daughters, Krista (Rick) Burson and Taylor Kingston; her father, Francis Endsley; a nephew, Chad (Jennifer) Adams. 

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys “Peggy” Endsley; and her sister, Mona Adams. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High St. Mount Vernon, OH, 43050 with a funeral service on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM, burial to follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

  • I only knew Kathy for a short time, but she was the sweetest person I knew. God now has another angel on his side. Jack I’m very sorry for your loss my dear friend. RIP Kathy.

  • I loved Kathy so much. Such a dear friend and an all around amazing woman. I’m going to miss our Fiesta trips and long chats.

  • Kathy was an amazing person and a great friend. I loved when I got to hang out with her and the other ladies from the cafe. They were like my family away from home. Kathy always knew how to bring a smile to my face. I will miss her dearly. Kathy has left a lasting impression on my heart and will never be forgotten. My prays and thoughts are with all of her family and friends!

  • The Dogwood Blossoms Chapter of Sweet Adelines International send their condolences to the family. Krista(Kathy’s daughter) was member of our chorus, as was Peg (her mother). We loved them both very much.
