Kathryne E. Ziegler, 97, formerly of Mount Gilead, Ohio passed away Monday evening August 21, 2006 in the Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware, Ohio on.
She was born in Kilbourne, Ohio on April 11, 1909 the daughter of the late Bert and Mary (Woodfill) Heinlen. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and earned her Masters Degree from The Ohio State University. Kathryne taught English for the Parma, Willoughby, Mount Gilead, and Iberia School systems until retiring. She had been a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Bluebell Twig at Morrow County Hospital, and the Senior Progress Club. She moved to Delaware from Mount Gilead in 2000.
She is survived by a brother Dale (Donna) Heinlen of West End, North Carolina; a sister Norma (William) Brosie of Young Harris, Georgia; a nephew Jon Heinlen of Lansing, Michigan; and a niece Cheryl Heinlen of Key West, Florida.
Her husband Peres D. Ziegler, whom she married in 1941 preceded her in death.
Rev. Dennis Braun will conduct services on Friday August 25, 2006 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, 76 South Main Street, Mount Gilead at 10:30 a.m. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery in Kilbourne near Delaware, Ohio.
