Kathryn Naus Dailey
December 17, 1931 ‒ September 24, 2006
ONTARIO: Kathryn Naus Dailey, 74, of Millsboro Road, and formerly of Lexington-Springmill Road, died Sunday morning September 24, 2006 in her home, surrounded by her family, following a long illness.
She was born December 17, 1931 in Galion to Albert G., Sr. and Bernice C. (Danner) Naus, was graduated from Bellville High School in 1950, and remained an area resident all of her life.
An accomplished pianist, Kathryn taught piano lessons to a myriad of students from her home, and also put her knowledge of the instrument to use as a sales clerk of pianos and organs for the former McCready Furniture Store.
She later left retail to work as an optician technician with Reese Optical and Bob Paul Optical, prior to her retirement from working with Dr. Phillip Bentley.
When not busy at the piano keyboards, Kathryn kept her fingers nimble with her crochet hooks, completing numerous afghans.
She dearly loved traveling, and was blessed to have visited many spots on the globe…and enjoyed scooting around town in her little white Miata.
Kathryn delighted in homemaking, and caring for her family whom she dearly loved. They include her husband Robert E. Dailey, whom she married June 2, 1950; her daughter and son-in-law Vickie L. and Kenneth Balliett of Bellville; two granddaughters Karen Lynn Balliett of Lexington and Amanda Kristine Balliett of Bellville; two great granddaughters Taylor Kristine Mowry and Samantha Irene Mowry; her brother and sister-in-law Albert G., Jr. and Rebecca Naus of Weslaco, Texas; four nieces and a nephew.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 3 pm in Lexington Cemetery. Pastor Rick Wiseman will officiate. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Memorial contributions to MedCentral Hospice may be made through the funeral home.
