Kathryn Marie Frailey
November 19, 1916 ‒ March 21, 2006
BELLVILLE: Kathryn Marie Frailey, 89, of East Street, Bellville, died Tuesday morning, March 21, 2006 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital, following a short illness.
She was born November 19, 1916 in Bellville to Walter and Mary Hazel (Teeter) Steltz, and was a lifelong Bellville resident.
A homemaker, Kathryn attended St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bellville.
Kathryn had a green thumb, and produced beautiful roses from her garden.
Though she enjoyed some senior citizens activities, she remained young at heart: watching WWF on television, and chasing her grandchildren with a fly swatter…never able to catch them.
After many years of canning her own vegetables, Kathryn enjoyed eating out, and made “the best” apple dumplings.
Described as “quiet” and “honest,” she treasured holiday times spent with her family, whom she cherished.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Edward and Vada Frailey of Bellville; her daughter and son-in-law Carol and Nolan Jackson of Salem, Virginia; fifteen grandchildren and their spouses Angela and Jeremy Ammons of Fredericktown, Melanie and Ronald Elliott of Mansfield, Shanique, Donna, Kisha, Zackery, Deshawn, Ryan, Anthony, Michelle, Jami, Annabelle, Joey and Petey Frailey, and Laura Singleton; six great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law Evelyn Ruth and Joseph Race of Mansfield; a niece Linda Rouzer and nephew Jerry Palmer both of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl B. Frailey, and two grandchildren Charlie and Shytrice Frailey.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 4-7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Friday at 11 am. Pastor Marc Patterson will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church may be made at the funeral home.
