Kathleen Belle Schalip, age 84, died peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the Heartland of Uptown Westerville Care Center.  Member of the Living Word Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was very involved.  Kathy loved watching legal dramas on TV and bird-watching, especially Hummingbirds and her favorite, Cardinals.  Preceded in death by loving husband, John S. Schalip; infant son, Carl; sister, Patricia Snyder; brothers, Jack and William Dickerhoff.  Survived by devoted daughters, Cindy (Mark) Manning of Granville; Caren Arnold of Columbus; grandchildren, Christina (Doug) Elliott, Christopher and Brian (Ruby) Manning; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Maverick Manning, Kallee Elliott; in-laws, Harold and Amparo.  Friends may call 6-8 PM Thursday, August 9, 2018 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, OH.  Memorial Service 12 noon Friday at the Living Word Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7539 Dustin Rd, Galena, OH 43021.  Pastor Derrick Hurst officiating.  Private family interment at a later date in the Iberia Cemetery, Iberia, OH.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church with a designation to the Playground Fund, in Kathy’s memory.  DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home of Sunbury is honored to serve Kathy’s family.  Special memories and condolences can be shared with them at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com
