Karen R. Lenkei, age 64, of Baker Road, Mount Vernon, devoted and cherished wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord on Saturday December 27, 2003 at her residence. She was born on December 4, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Larry and Grace (Kraemer) King. Mrs. Lenkei was co-owner and operator of Lenkei Brothers Cabinet Company. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Vernon and had served as a past president of the Mount Vernon Garden Club.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Bela Lenkei, two sons, Andrew (Kimberly) Lenkei of Mount Vernon, Jeffrey Lenkei of Austin, Texas, a daughter, Christine (Lance) Wilson of Avon, Ohio, four grandchildren, Olivia Lenkei, Kamryn Wilson, Jacob Wilson and Michael Wilson and a sister, Chere Feerst of Fishers, Indiana.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 3 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
