K. W. “Stoney” Matlack Jr., age 46 of Richwood died unexpectedly Monday morning, September 20, 2004.

He was born on September 20, 1958 in Delaware to the late Karroll Matlack and B. “Joan” (Davenport) Link-Matlack of Delaware. A graduate of Delaware Hayes High School Class of 1976 and lifelong resident of Delaware County, he worked as a heating and cooling technician with Benders Plumbing and Heating, Marion.

He grew up attending the Scioto Valley Christian Union Church. He enjoyed family vacations at Lakeside and The Little Brown Jug. He was a fan of the Cleveland Cavilers and NASCAR’s Tony Stewart. Stoney cherished his pets and was considered “handy” by his family, recently completing the renovation of his family home. He was proud of the accomplishments of his wife and especially proud of his daughter when she became a nurse.

He is also survived by loving wife of 27 years: Debra J. (Raglin), Daughter Carrie Matlack of Marion; Brothers John Link of Delaware, Clint (Kristi) Matlack of Delaware; Sister Janine Matlack of Delaware; Nephew and God Child Nathan Matlack of Delaware; Niece Amy Link of Delaware; Mother-in-law Norma Stage of Delaware; Brother-in-law William Raglin of Delaware; Best Friends Butch (Donna) Wheeland of Delaware, Doug Bosh of Marion, Dave Harmon of Prospect, Cheryl Andrietti of Delaware, and a host of other friends.

Also preceded in death by Sister Julia Lynn Matlack in 1957 and Brother in law Larry Raglin, Father-in-law Billy T. Raglin, and Step-father-in-law: Dewey Stage.

Public viewing will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Friday a memorial gathering will follow from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware. Memorial services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Scioto Valley Christian Union Church, 5447 Riverside Dr., Delaware with Pastor Don Alexander officiating. Inurnment will follow in Thompson Township Cemetery.
