Julia “Kalene” Robinson, age 48, of Edison, passed away at her home, Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

On September 27, 1970, Kalene was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, a daughter of Mary Jane (Walker) Robinson and the late Harold V. Robinson.  She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1989.  She attended Tri-Rivers her last two years of school.

For many years, Kalene worked as a Nursing Aide for Woodside Village Care Center and Morrow Manor Nursing Center.

She is survived by her son: Justin (Brittany Hawk-Pheasant) Kinney of Cardington; her mother, Mary Jane Robinson of Mount Gilead; siblings: Fred (Debbie) Robinson of Marion, Keith (Jean) Robinson of Mesa, AZ, Jane (Les) Carpenter of Cardington, William “Rob” (Heather) Robinson of Edison, Robert “Noel” (Mary Darnell) Robinson of Cardington; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and her beloved Yorkie, Caesar.

Kalene’s family will hold graveside services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Rivercliff Cemetery in Mount Gilead.  Following the service, friends are welcome to join the family for a meal and fellowship at the Cardington Community Center, 111 W. 2nd St., Cardington, OH 43315.

  • I’m so sad to hear of Kalene’s passing. I grew up with her and a very large part of my childhood was spent with her. I have very fond memories of our many hours spent together running around Edison and listening to music at your house.

  • So saddened to hear of the passing of Kalene. She grew up in the house right next to my grandpa/dad’s body shop. Many summer hours riding bikes around Edison, walking home from Edison Elementary and slumber parties. May your family find strength and comfort during this time.
