Judy K. Frost, age 68 of Delaware passed away Sunday evening, October 27, 2013 at Delaware Court Care Center following a 2 year illness.

She was born on December 16, 1944 in Leroy, West Virginia to the late Cecil and Alpha (Pursley) McVay. In 1964 she graduated from Delaware Hayes High School after moving to Delaware in 1963.

Judy married Lewis Frost in 1973, he preceded her in death in 2003 after 30 years of marriage.

A homemaker, she did work for a brief time with Goodwill Industries. Considered a busy bee, she volunteered for Main St. Delaware and worked on research for several Ohio Wesleyan professors. Judy was a member of the Restoration Project Church in downtown Delaware.

Eccentric in many ways, she enjoyed a variety of styles and numerous unique hats. A collector of turtles, she also enjoyed drawing, sketching, listening to audio books, as well as reading. She had a beautiful voice in her younger years and was a fan of OSU sports.

Diverse and sometimes opinionated, Judy will be remembered for her thirst for knowledge.

She is survived by son Hudson McVay of Columbus, sisters Vickie (Rick) Rice of Delaware, Faye (Lee) Stepp of Lutz, Florida, brothers Dewey McVay of Delaware, Jay McVay of Mt. Vernon, special nephew Jason (Kerstin) Conner and great-nephew Hayden Conner.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Virgil McVay.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware, where friends may call 2 hours prior to the services from 11 – 1, burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.
