  • What fond memories I have of Judy. I lived a couple of blocks from her while growing up in Delaware. She was always so pleasant and positive to be around. Her contributions to our community and to our society have been so positive and hopefully long lasting. She can now once again help her mother and father make Hamburger Inn cinnamon rolls.

  • Bruce & Family:
So Sorry to hear about Judy. Lots of fond memories with her and Melinda cooking breakfast for the Rotary Club every Tuesday mornings. Always a joy and laughing even at 7:00 a.m. in the morning. My thoughts and prayers to you and the family.

  • Bruce and Family:

We just saw in today’s paper about Judy passing away. We are sorry for you and all of your family’s loss of one of our favorite people. Deb remembers how you and Judy were both some of our early friends ib Galena over thirty years ago and we’ll miss her a lot.

  • My deepest condolences. Mrs. Denton was one of my favorite preschool teachers. She also was quick with a big smile and took time to catch up whenever I saw her. She will be missed greatly!

  • Denton family:

Judy was a wonderful person, which you all already know. She always had a smile on her face. Even when she put regular gas into Bruce’s diesel Jetta. I hadn’t seen her in years but she always held a special place in my heart. She will be missed.
My heart goes out to your family.

  • Bruce,

My prayers are with you and your family. It was a privilege to get to know you and Judy during my time in Galena.

  • I have so many happy childhood memories of Judy and the fun we had being neighbors . She was always kind, sweet and patient. Our moms even had fun dressing us alike. Just the other day I found the newspaper article of Bruce and her wedding–beautiful. Prayers for comfort for all the family

  • So sorry for your loss. Judy always reminded me of sunshine. She will be greatly missed.

  • Bruce and family – I am just crushed that Judy left us. I loved her so much. I have so many happy memories revolving around her. We did a few ministries together, you both helped me move a few years ago and we served on many committees together. She always offered upbeat and easy advise. I am proud to have known her and will miss her very much. Great love and prayer to your family.

  • I for one will miss Judy greatly. She had a winning smile, and wanted know how everything was going. For years we sang Alto side by side in the community Chorus. Many elbow bumps, rolling eyes and laughs kept us going as we learned new songs, and had our fun.. I had heard she was ill, but did not know the end was so close. Praying for your family as you accept this changing event.
Hang in there Mikey. From Betty Lou in the Library .

  • As a fellow member of the Golden Notes I wii certainly miss Judy and her beautiful voice. I remember when she was born Glen and Bonnie were so happy to have a little girl. We lived right across the street f on them when they lived on Oak Hill Ave. and we’re just starting what would become one of Delaware ‘s favorite restaurants. She will leave a big void among her family and friends.

  • It saddens me so to have lost our Judy! She was very much a part of Galena United Methodist church. She had been in the choir, served on various committees, attended Sunday School and was always there to give a hand in the kitchen, when she was able. Toward the last months of her lives, we always caught up about each other’s health, although I am sure that she was holding back. Although she always greeted me with that special Judy smile, she was very sad about what I was facing at that time. Such empathy! I will truly miss my friend. Dear Bruce always watched over her, and I could see the concern in his face should she move a few steps away. May God give strength and peace to members of Judy’s family.

  • I will so miss her laugh her smile and her beautiful voice in the choir. I am glad to have known her all these years at Galena UMC. Rest in peace, no more pain, may God be with all of your family in this time of sorrow and may your faith help you get thru this time of sorrow.God Bless.

  • What a wonderful lady. Always caring for others and her family. A special preschool teacher to many .My deepest sympathy to you all.
