Judith L. “Judy” George, age 79, of Cardington, passed away Friday morning, September 25, 2020, at Marion General Hospital.

On September 1, 1941, Judy was born in Morrow County, Ohio, a daughter of the late John M. and Mary E. (Ogden) Emmons.

Judy married Roy George in Marengo on January 25, 1958.  They shared over 62 years as husband and wife.

For many years, Judy worked as a nursing assistant at Morrow Manor in Chesterville.

Judy was a family woman through and through.  She was a dedicated wife, mom and grandmother.  She was very selfless and did anything she could to take care of everyone.

Judy will be dearly missed by her husband, Roy; six children: Steven (Phyllis) George, Rose Billings, Teressa White, Phillip (Brenda) George, James (Vanessa) George, Darrell (Robin) George; 12 grandchildren: Leisa, Damien, Joshua, Aaron, Shawn, Billy, Devon, Nicolas, Julia, Nathan, Bailey, Andrea; and great grandchildren: Tyler, Charlene, Jacqueline, Victoria, Max, Olivia, Cassie and JoJo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Alan Eugene George; a brother, Dean Emmons; and a sister, Mary Camm.

Judy’s family will greet friends from 1 – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main St., Mount Gilead.  We will then go in procession to Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville for a 2:15 graveside service with Pastor Jeff Deel officiating.
