BELLVILLE: Juanita Fry, 89, formerly of Honeycreek Road, Bellville, died Sunday evening July 23, 2006 in Whispering Hills Care Center, Mount Vernon.
She was born February 17, 1917 in Richland County to Newton and Olia (Epley) Miller, and was graduated from Bellville High School in 1934.
On March 21, 1936 she married Earl D. Fry in Covington, Kentucky, and together they raised a family of five children in rural southern Richland County. Earl preceded her in death on January 20, 1998.
Juanita was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church in Bangs.
Busy maintaining the home, she excelled at sewing, cooking and gardening. Blessed with the spiritual gift of hospitality, Juanita’s eyes would light-up when she enlarged her dinner table to provide for good food, good conversation, and good friends and family.
She is survived by her children Earl and Patty Fry of Mount Vernon, Gerald and Ophelia Fry of Bellville, Joyce Fry of Dublin, Dale Fry and his friend Sue Bucci of Bellville and Karen and Richard Rudsell of Fletcher; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a brother Richard Miller of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters Dorothy Blackford, Ruth Berberick and Katherine Miller; and two brothers Glenn Miller and Don Miller.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 26, 2006 from 5-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am. The Rev. Roy Mitchell will officiate. Friends may also call at the funeral home the hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
