Joshua John Moore, 18, of Delaware, died unexpectedly Monday morning (Feb. 19, 2007) at Grant Hospital, Columbus.

He was born June 7, 1988 in Columbus to Neil J. and Carol S. (Antoine) Moore. A lifelong Delaware resident, he was a senior at Hayes High School and was attending Marion Technical School’s PSEO Program. He was also active in soccer and basketball and was a team member at Wendy’s International Restaurants. He attended Delaware Bible Church and North Gate Community Church.

He is survived my his mother, Carol “Casey” of Delaware; his father, Col. (Ret.) Neil J. “Jim” Moore of Delaware, with whom he resided; two brothers, Gabe (Dawn) Moore of McHenry, Ill., and Lance (Danielle) Moore of Worthington; one sister, Kristen Moore of Westerville; his maternal grandmother, Geraldine “Gerry” Antoine of Delaware; several aunts and uncles; three nieces; and two nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Chapel, 1510 W. William St. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Delaware Bible Church, 45 Belle Ave. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.

His family decided to share the gift of life by working with Lifeline of Ohio’s organ and tissue donation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at any Delaware County Bank branch or mailed to “The Joshua Moore Memorial Benefit Fund,” P.O. Box 1001, Lewis Center, OH 43035-9814. All donations will be used to offset medical and final expenses. Any remaining balances will be donated in his memory to Lifeline of Ohio Organ Procurement Program.
