Joseph Wilbur “Sonny” Pritchard, 82, of Marengo passed away Thursday evening, July 6, 2017 at his residence.

He was born May 6, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Myrtle (Sprague) Pritchard and later served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Sonny was a vending mechanic and farmer and was baptized in and a member of the Cardington Baptist Temple. He loved playing guitar and singing country music. He also enjoyed deer hunting.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 42 years, Carolyn (Fleming); sons, James (Susan) Orsbon and Timothy Orsbon and his companion Ann; daughters, Vanetta Donegan, Penny (Steve) Coyan, Rebecca Raines and Sonja Stein; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Phillip (Marilyn) Pritchard and Stanley Pritchard and his companion Betty; sisters, Ellen (Charles) LeMaster and Delores Caris; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 5 – 8 pm at the Bennett-Brown-Rodman & Snyder Funeral Home, 307 E. High Street, Ashley, OH where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Stantontown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cardington Baptist Temple.
