Joseph Davelli, age 65 of Marion, passed away Sunday evening, May 7, 2006 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born on March 8, 1941 in New Castle, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Youngstown State University, he moved to Marion from New Castle in 1982. Joseph retired from Dana Corporation, where he worked as a metallurgical engineer in the quality control department of the former Eaton plant in Marion.
Known for his positive attitude and good humor, he was proud of his family and took great pride in the care of his home.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Lucille (Tommasone), son: Terry A. (Kristina) Davelli of Delaware, daughter: Sherry A. Davelli of Tarzana, CA, his mother: Teresa (Spaziani) Davelli of Marion, granddaughter: Danica, and brother: Anthony (Carol) Davelli of Port Vue, PA.
He was preceded in death by a son: Perry J. Davelli in 2004 and his father: Dominic Davelli.
Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Denzer, Farison, Hottinger, & Snyder Funeral Home in Marion, where services will follow Thursday morning 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Will Beers officiating. Entombment will follow in the Marion Mausoleum.
