Johnny J. Lama Sr., age 80 of Centerburg, died Wednesday morning August 1, 2012 at Country View of Sunbury.

He was born on February 11, 1932 in Aliquippa. PA to the late John and Mary (Cautella) Lama. He was Korean US Army Veteran and a retired owner of a construction company.

Johnny loved to spend time with his family and friends. He also was an avid archer, hunting deer, bear, elk, turkey and had a Grand Slam in turkey hunting bagging all 5 species of turkey in the world.

He is survived by sons: John (Laurie) Lama Jr. of Delaware, Joe Lama of Centerburg; daughters: Tina Lama of Sunbury, Tanna (Mark) Kaniecki of Cleveland; grandchildren: John Lama III, Erica Lama, Preslee Lama, Brayden Lama, Mason Finley; brothers: Danny LaLama, Sammy Lama; sister: Lucy Weaver; nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 SR 37 E. , Sunbury with Fr David Sizemore celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery.
