John Zolman, age 95, of Erlanger, KY formerly of Fredericktown, OH died on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born on August 15, 1919 in Morrow County, OH son of the late Avery and Estella (Fidler) Zolman.

John honorably served his country during WWII in the Army. He was a member of the Fredericktown Baptist Church, the Thrall Lodge #170 F. & A.M. in Fredericktown and the Ohio Operating Engineers. John retired from Kokosing Construction in Fredericktown. John was a wonderful husband, loving father and devoted friend. He will be missed by so many people whose lives he touched.

John is survived by his wife, Dortha L. (Shira) Zolman; daughters, Janice (Tom) Bogner of Villa Hills, KY and Julie (David) Imes of Willow Wood, OH; son, Larry (Patricia) Zolman of Waynesville, NC; grandchildren, Elissa (William) Tennant of Twinsburg, OH and Andy (Lisa) Zolman of North Olmsted, OH; great grandson, Zachary Zolman of North Olmsted, OH; and a brother, Raymond (Jean) Zolman of Dayton.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Galen Zolman; and sisters, Beulah Smith, Eunice Kilgore and Elizabeth Ketchum.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 East College St., Fredericktown with Rev. Timothy Mohon officiating. A Masonic Service by Thrall Lodge 170 F. & A.M. will begin the funeral service.  Burial will follow in Owl Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Ankenytown with Military Honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
