John Kevin Cass, 20, of 6380 Windfall Road, Galion, died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Galion Community Hospital.

Born January 31, 1985 in Mansfield, he was the son of Brad and Janice DeWitt Cass with whom he made his home.

He graduated from Galion High School in 2004 and was attending Ohio State University A.T.I. Campus in Wooster. He was a member of Free Methodist Church.

He had a great sense of humor and liked sharing time with his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish, hunt and golf. He was artistic and placed in the State of Ohio, Governor’s Art Exposition in 2004. He was working as an apprentice landscaper at Oberlander’s Landscaping in Bucyrus.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother, Keith Cass at home; his grandparents, Jim and Dolores Cass and Ken and Georgia DeWitt; and his great grandmother, Doris Pittinger all of Galion. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Bart and Lisa Cass of Galion, Julie and Matt Petty of Mansfield and Doris and Mark Byers of Walhonding.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, at Free Methodist Church, 683 Portland Way North, Galion with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

After his death, Kevin gave the gift of life through tissue donation.
