John “Jack” F. Fisher

John “Jack” F. Fisher, 80, of St. Rt. 61 N, Mt. Gilead, Ohio died unexpectedly Saturday, May 25, 2002 in Riverside Hospital.

He was born in Kirkpatrick, Ohio on June 14, 1921, the son of the late F. Rennison and Nellie Neal Fisher. He graduated from Claridon High School in 1939 prior to serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. He has resided here since 1944. Jack worked for the Mt. Gilead School System as head custodian and also operated Fisher Power Electric Motor Repair for 20 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and creating junkyard art.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl J. Levering Fisher, whom he married Jan. 4, 1942; two sons Jack “Steve” (Anne) Fisher of New Washington, OH and Michael (Noriko) Fisher of Seattle, WA; a daughter Bonnie (William) Osborne of Port Charlotte, FL; five grandchildren Angela, Jason, Allen, Jonathan and Matthew; three great grandchildren Jason II, Brandon & David; and two sisters Thelma O’Reilly of Tucson, AZ, and Mary Ellen Lynam of St. Mary’s, OH.
