John Ingalls, age 84, of Centerburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at his home.
He was born on November 22, 1926 in Pike County, Ohio to the late Clyde and Maud (Steiner) Ingalls. John was employed and retired from Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Army during WWII.
He is survived by his sons Jim (Melinda) Ingalls of Howard, Jack Ingalls of Delaware, Daniel (Ann) McDowell of Columbus, David (Cindy) McDowell of Centerburg; two granddaughters, Tara (Allen) Williamson of Mount Vernon, Lydia Ingalls of Howard; and two sisters, Shirley (John) Vollmer of Newark and Susan Ingalls of Waverly.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his first wife Betty, his second wife Patricia, his third wife Marion and his son Jeffrey Ingalls.
Friends may call on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 11 – 12 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will follow beginning at 12 PM. The family will observe a private family burial at a later date.
