John H. Neumaier, age 83 of Delaware died early Friday morning, December 20, 2002 in Pittsburgh, PA at the home of his son.

He was born on March 7, 1919 in Holloway, MI to the late Daniel and Laura Foley Neumaier. John was a US Army Veteran of WW II and member of St. Mary Church, Delaware. He had worked as a sales representative for Dunham Shoe Company and most recently for the former Gray’s Shoes Store in Delaware, retiring in 1999. He also volunteered for Grady Memorial Hospital.

Survived by Sons: Mike (Paula) Neumaier of Mt. Lebanon, PA, Chuck (JoAnn) Neumaier of Citrus Hts, CA, Daughters: Linda Neumaier of Glendale, CA, Susan (Chuck) Steines of Chagrin Falls, OH, 7 Grandchildren: Jason Beres, Joseph Beres, Nichole & Ian Neumaier, Sara, John, and David Steines, Great-grandchild: Dalton Hirt, Brother: Dan Neumaier of White Lake, MI, Sisters: Madeline Collins of Silver Springs, MD, Dolora Neumaier of Ann Arbor, MI.

Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years: Wanda (Ferguson) on Dec. 2, 1996, 1 sister and 1 brother.

Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Prayer Service 4:00 p.m., December 27, 2002 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday December 28, 2002 at St. Mary Church, Delaware, Fr Kevin Kavanagh Celebrant.
