John E. Beach, age 67, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.  He was born on June 22, 1952 in Mount Vernon, Ohio the son of Cecil and Flora (Rine) Beach.  John proudly served in the United States Army and retired from LB Manufacturing in Mount Vernon.

He is survived by his wife Betty (Forrest) Beach whom he married on August 7, 1973; two daughters, Rhonda (David) Starmer of Mount Vernon, Becky (Ronald) Rahn  of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Spencer Beach of Killbuck, Jim Beach of Millwood; three sisters, Pam Avery of Minnesota, Diana O’Dell of Mount Vernon and Sue Ervin of Walhonding.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Beach.

Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will begin at 5 p.m.
