John Dudley “Dud” Sears III, age 71, of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospice Facility in Bethlehem, PA, due to complications from a recent fall and diabetes.
On October 17, 1949, John was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, the son of the late John D. Sears Jr. and Noreen (Boyle) Sears. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in the class of 1968. He furthered his education at Ohio Northern University.
Most recently, Johnny worked at ETI in Easton, PA.
The life of the party, Johnny loved playing poker with his family and with his Friday night poker club buddies. He always looked forward to trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas to play blackjack. He was an avid golfer and huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Johnny also loved his many pets, and treated them like his own children.
Johnny will be dearly missed by his significant other, Sandy Kominsky, and her granddaughter, Jordan, of Easton, PA; two sisters: Kathy (Les) Dyer of Bucyrus, and Mary Ward of Mount Gilead; a step-sister, Cathy Dible of Bucyrus; nephews: Ken (Nikki) Dyer of Bucyrus, AJ Ward of Mount Gilead, Trevor (Erin) Ward of Harrison, OH, Jesse (Sarah) Ward of Delaware, Richard Dible of Columbus, and Jonathan Dible of Bucyrus; and numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Including his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his step-mother, JoAnne Sears; a brother-in-law, Pat Ward; and a nephew, Jeff Dyer.
Services will be observed privately by his family at a later date.

Thank you so much Dan & Linda. I am going to miss him. My sister and I are going to Pa next week to bring his ashes home. It will be a tough trip.

John was one of my mentors as I grew up as was his family…I was always welcome in the Sear’s home and have many fond memories of my times there. Kathy and Mary you have my deepest condolences.

Thank you so much Steve. We sure miss him. Mary & I are going to Pa Tuesday to bring his ashes home. That will be hard. We always had such a good time visiting with him.
