John A. Kremer, age 90, of Mount Gilead and formerly of Parma, Ohio, died on Saturday morning, November 25, 2006, at the Woodside Village Care Center in Mount Gilead.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 2, 1916, the son of the late Adam and Mary (Shkorza) Kremer.

On March 30, 1940, John married his loving wife of nearly 65 years in Cleveland, Anna Marie (Jenovai) Kremer, who preceded him in death on March 5, 2005. Together they resided in Parma, Ohio, until 2003 when they moved to Mount Gilead.

John worked for Master Chrome Service, a family owned company, as an inspector for 48 years in Cleveland.

With a green thumb, John enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and fruit trees.

He was a member of the Church of the Sacred Hearts and had been active for many years in the Boy Scouts of America.

He will be missed by his daughter Rosemary (Joseph) Catera of Caledonia, Ohio; two sons John (Dolores) Kremer of Hoover, Alabama, and Phillip (Fran) Kremer of Solon, Ohio; and four grandchildren Joseph, Katherine and Cynthia Catera and Renee Kremer.

In addition to his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by brother Martin Kremer.

The family will greet friends from 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006, at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main St., Mount Gilead. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow on Monday at 11:00 a.m., at the Church of the Sacred Hearts, with Father Barry Bentz celebrant. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
