JoAnn W. Webster, age 70, of Newark, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 29, 1941 in Manistee, Michigan to the late John and Fern (Price) Welch. JoAnn was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the “Big Red Machine.” She enjoyed gardening, but most important to her was the quality time she spent with friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Webster, two sons, John Webster of Lexington, Kentucky, Wyatt (Brenda) Webster of St. Louisville, three daughters, Jayne (Randy) Peck of Mount Vernon, Julie (Tony) Merritt of Newark and Jill (Ben) Gauthier of Pataskala, fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters, Lawanda (Bud) Grizina of Piqua and Jeannette (Elmer) Hughes of Mansfield.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dave Welch and John Welch.

The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
