Joan H. Dailey, age 91, Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  She was born on January 24, 1928 in Millwood, Ohio, to the late C. Donavin and Hilda (Rine) Humbert.

Joan graduated from Howard High School in 1945 and went on to attend Columbus Business School.  She worked for the Knox County Commissioners as an Administrative Assistant for over 27 years.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, concerts and plays.  Joan was a huge NASCAR fan, rooting for her favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson. She was a collector of M&M memorabilia.  Her greatest love and joy was being around her loving family.

Joan is survived by her children, Vickie (Dennis) Burson, Scott Dailey, Dan (Jeannie) Dailey, Tamara (Michael Fischer) Dailey; grandchildren, Brian (Cassie) Burson and family, Aubrey Hinger and family, Brittney Dailey, Brandon (Jessica) Dailey, Erin (Mike) Mannix and family, Stuart (Lauren) Dailey and family; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Dailey; infant son, Grant Dailey; and a grandson, Andrew Dailey.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 5-7 PM with a funeral service on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11 AM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High Street Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 with Pastor John Francis officiating.
