Joan E. Algire, age 71, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.  She was born on August 9, 1948 in Knox County the daughter of Sterle and Blanche (Lahmon) Breece.

Joan took great pride in caring for her flower and vegetable gardens and she also enjoyed cooking, baking and doing crafts.  Joan had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Robinson of Fredericktown and Stephanie (Sonny) Ferrell of Mount Vernon; a grandson, Seth (Kassi) Robinson.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Gilmore.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday beginning at 3 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019 where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Joan’s name may be made to Kindred Hospice.
