Jo Ann Brannen Palmer, age 77 of Delaware died Monday morning, October 7, 2002 at the home of her daughter.

She was born on Sept. 7, 1925 in Cabin Creek, WV to the late Michael R. and Kate (Creasey) Brannen. Graduate of East Bank High School in 1942, earned B.S. Degree in Education from Concord College, M.A. in education from Marshall University and graduate work at Miami, Akron, and Kent Universities.

Retired after 34 years in education working in PA, WV, and North Canton Ohio City Schools.

Survived by daughter: Kathy & Stephen Alderman of Delaware, Grandchildren: Kevin, Sean, and Stephanie, Brother: Michael R. & Augusta Brannen of Lewiston, NY, Brother-in-law: Thomas & Barbara Palmer of Carroll, OH.

She moved to Delaware 15 years ago from North Canton, was an avid golfer playing in leagues at Hidden Valley and Oakhaven Golf Courses. Member of Sarah Moore Home services board and governing board. Active member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by husband: Glen L. Palmer in 1976.

Friends may call Tuesday 6-9 p.m., prayer services 8:00 p.m., at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Delaware, Fr. Kevin Kavanagh Celebrant. Interment will follow Wednesday 4:00 p.m. at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, W.V.
