Jesse A. MacBlane, age 90, of Delaware formerly of Sunbury, died Wednesday evening at the Cherith Care Center at Willow Brook in Delaware.

He was born on June 8, 1913 in Columbus to the late John A. and Jessie (Wallace) MacBlane. Jesse was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus, moved to Sunbury/Galena area in 1958 and to Delaware in 1996. A farmer, he was a member of Sunbury Christian Church and retired in 1978 from Borden Corp., formerly Columbus Coated Fabrics, where he worked as a machinist for 44 years.

Survived by his wife of 68 years: Alice (Sweet), Daughters: Janet (Jim) Thatcher of Sunbury, Shirley (Robert) Schontzler of Ashland, OH, Grandchildren: Colleen, Bradd, Stephen, Great-grandchildren: Ashley, Aunna, Derrick, Madison, Donovan, Gavin, Sister: Alice Duncan of Towson, MD.

Preceded in death by 5 Brothers: John, William, Thomas, Jimmy, Wallace, 3 Sisters: Janet MacBlane, Agnus Horton, Helen Mullen.

Friends may call Friday 5-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m., Rev. Michael D. Bratten officiating, interment Sunbury Memorial Park.
